Imbolc marks the halfway point between the Winter Solstice and the Spring Equinox. While too early for planting gardens, Imbolc is a time to consider what you want to plant and harvest (literally and metaphorically) as spring approaches. In ancient times, it was a time to reaffirm life and reflect on the coming harvest season. Christianity adopted this holiday as Candlemass, celebrated in February 2.
